Charlie Dugosh, a B24 crew chief in WWII, worked for Mooney as the Chief Inspector. He moved to Kerrville, and started Dugosh Aircraft maintenance in the early 1960s.
While operating Dugosh, he simultaneously was in charge of the Kerrville FBO. In the early 1990s, Mr. Dugosh sold the business to his son-in-law, Ronnie Kramer. Ronnie owned and operated Dugosh until mid 2010s. In October of 2015, David Behrens and Rod Wehmeyer partnered and purchased Dugosh. In September of 2020, David bought out Mr. Wehmeyer and became the sole owner of Dugosh Aviation, LLC.
David Behrens began his career by working for Mr. Dugosh in May of 1982. He acquired his A&P Certificate and in the 1990s acquired his Inspection Authorization. He has over 40 years of experience working on Mooneys and numerous other General and Business Category Aircraft.
Jessica Behrens came to Dugosh in January of 2023. Previously a 911 dispatcher, she brought a myriad of management skills, including time management and customer relations. Jessica has works tirelessly to ensure our clients stay up to date on the process and status of their aircraft maintenance projects.
In February 2026, Dugosh was acquired by Mooney and merged into the Famous Mooney Factory Aircraft Service Center. David Behrens was named overall General Manager and Michael Kneese was named Chief inspector.
The Mooney Factory Service Center Specializes in Mooneys but also provide Full service Aircraft maintenance and modifications, including but not limited to, 100hr and Annual Inspections, Full Avionics upgrades, STC modifications for all General and Business Piston,Turboprop and Jet Aircraft.
The Mooney Factory Service Center has two locations, one in Kerrville,Texas and one in Prineville, Oregon.
